Every year we work on providing the best possible service to the Loma Prieta Community. This accomplishment is the result of a partnership between the department and all of us living on the hill. Fortunately the ridge top has always been supportive of the needs of the volunteer department - hence the Rescue, defibrillator and our "Jaws of Life". With the increasing ease and security of online financial transactions it is now possible to donate to LPVFR from "the comfort and privacy of your home". Our intention is to identify our primary goals at any given time and give benefactors the opportunity to "participate" in the implementation of these programs. Making the donation is as simple as clicking on the PayPal button below. Don't want to donate online? You can send us a donation in the mail at:

  •  An Additional Defib Unit PURCHASED - Thank You!

With our new Attack coming on line an additional Defibrillator to compliment the two on the Rescue and Engine would nicely balance their geographical placement.

 -Estimated cost $5000.00

  •  Two new Handi-talkies  PURCHASED - Thank You!

Ideally every Firefighter on the fire ground should carry his/her own Handi-Talkie. Its a matter of safety and efficiency. At $800.00 a pop you try to add a couple a year.

-Estimated cost $1600.00

  •  A years supply of Medical Gloves

Sometimes its the little things that wear you down. On medical calls every Firefighter can go through three or four pairs per call. Multiply that by an average of six Firefighters per call, times 200 medical related calls per year and that's a big pile of gloves.

-Estimated cost $500.00

  •  The Mapping Project

We all know how tough it can be to find our way around the hill. Try it at 0'dark 30 when the addresses are jumping all over the place and there is smoke in the air. We would love to be able to take a call and have every volunteer, the crew at Burrell and every visiting engine company know instantly where to go. Imagine being able to pinpoint every swimming pool, every propane tank, gate combinations and LZs before you even leave the station.

-Estimated cost $ (unknown at this time)

Thank you for your support.
